Invitation
Dear Friends,
With all due respect owed, we would like to extend an invitation in our state of Chiapas. If you arrive to visit this pretty state, we want to invite you to our town that you may visit during your stay here. We are a group of women who have joined together to work and move forward with our families and children and are members of the Women of the Corn in Resistance Cooperative.
We are women of Zinacantan in the State of Chiapas. We weave on the backstrap loom and embroider by hand. We are ten women that from the age of eight years old have been linked together as friends. We would love to receive travelers to our home with our family.
Zinacantan is a very pretty place and the inhabitants are indigenous that speak Tsotsil. (a Maya language). We dress in
the typical, very pretty, traditional clothing and our life is full of tradition.
We as women offer a service for tourists. We offer hikes around the town and traditional food. We offer tortillas that we make by hand and you can also see a variety of handicrafts and weaving that the women have done on the backstrap loom.

Queridas Amigas:
Con el debido respeto que se merecen les queremos realizar una invitación en nuestro estado de Chiapas, si llegan a vistar este bonito estado les queremos invitar a nuestro pueblo que en su estancia lo puedan vistar, nosotras somos un grupo de mujeres unidas para trabajar y salir adelante con sus familias e hijos e hijas que están en la cooperativa mujeres de Maíz en resistencia en Chiapas.
Nosotras somos mujeres de Zinacantan Chiapas trabajamos en telar de cintura y bordados a mano somos 10 mujeres que desde hace 8 años que estamos integrados y nos gusta mucho recibir turistas a nuestro hogar con nuestra familia.
Zinacantan es un lugar muy bonito que son indígenas ablandes tsotsil, con unos trajes muy bonitos típicos y con mucha tradición.
Nosotras como mujeres brindamos un servicio para los turistas, ofrecemos caminatas alrededor del pueblo, comida tradicional, y muestra de telar de cintura, ofrecemos tortillas de maíz hechos a manos de las mujeres y pueden ver los tipos de artesanía que elaboran las mujeres echas en telar de cintura.
